In late 19th-century Texas, teenage lovebirds Vonnie Taylor and Adam Baldwin impulsively elope, only to have their marriage annulled the next day. Several years later, Adam is now engaged to the perfect bride, Beth Baylor. Vonnie, a renowned seamstress, has been hired to make the wedding dress, even though she has never gotten over Adam. Copeland's ("The Maverick") latest historical is a fun Western romance in the vein of Linda Lael Miller and Roseanne Bittner, with colorful characters and a spirited plot. Recommended where Western romances are in demand. Copeland lives in the Ozark Mountains.
